Hey Amazing Eastern Shore Best Friends!!
I'm sitting at the airport writing this with a full heart, a dead phone charger, and the lingering taste of those incredible crab delicacies I found on several stops on my way to Norfolk.
Yesterday was special.
I don't say that lightly. I've done a lot of workshops, in a lot of rooms, in a lot of states - and what happened yesterday in that room was the kind of energy you can't manufacture. You showed up. You participated. You asked hard questions. You challenged each other. And you left with actual plans, not just notes.
That's rare. And I don't take it for granted.
A few things before you dive back into the chaos of your week:
1. YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO EVERYTHING.
I know we covered a LOT yesterday. Board recruitment. AI prompts. Analog fundraising. End-of-year planning. Funder panels. The works.
Here's my ask: Don't try to do all of it.
Pick one thing. Maybe two. The one thing from yesterday that made you think, "Oh, I could actually do that." The tactic that felt doable, not overwhelming. The conversation you've been avoiding but now have the language for.
Do that thing. Do it this week. Do it before the feeling fades.
That's how yesterday turns into something real.
