For more than two decades, the Eastern Shore of Virginia Community Foundation has connected generous people with the nonprofits and causes that make our community strong.

We are the only community foundation focused solely on Accomack and Northampton counties; everything we do, we do here.

What We Do

We help individuals, families, and organizations turn their care for the Shore into lasting impact. That means:

• creating permanent endowed funds,

• supporting local nonprofits through community grants,

• building meaningful charitable legacies, and

• responding to changing community needs over time.

Gifts entrusted to ESVCF are carefully invested. Each year, a portion is granted out, so a single gift becomes a steady source of support for the Shore, year after year.

Why It Matters

Since 2004, ESVCF has:

• Awarded over $5 million in competitive community grants to nonprofits serving the Eastern Shore

• Distributed millions more through donor-advised, designated, and field-of-interest funds

• Built more than $16 million in permanent charitable assets working for the Shore, now and well into the future
