Overview
The Eastern Shore of Virginia Community Foundation was founded in late 2004
to support the work of nonprofit organizations dedicated to improving life
for residents of Virginia’s Eastern Shore. The Foundation will provide grant
funding to those nonprofits that demonstrate a need in the following areas.
The Foundation concentrates its resources on the Eastern
Shore of Virginia. Highest priority for grant funding is for requests from
501(c)(3) organizations serving the counties of Accomack and Northampton.
Our Focus
As a community foundation, the Foundation strives to strengthen the fabric
of the Eastern Shore and to reflect the diverse interests of donors. The
Foundation focuses its resources on projects and programs likely to continue
beyond the period of funding. Therefore, highest priority will be given to
requests for specific capital projects, such as buildings, renovations and
equipment needs that meet the Foundation’s goal.

Attorneys, accountants and financial planners use us to help clients fulfill
their charitable and tax goals.
Charitable organizations turn to us for help with projects that meet
community needs. As a permanent endowment we ensure that a pool of resources
is ready to help today, tomorrow and countless tomorrows to come.

favorite charitable causes.
